Open up the virtualbox centos gui
type:
su -
yum update kernel*
yum -y install kernel-devel kernel-headers dkms gcc gcc-c++
reboot
insert virtual optical disk in settings
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt
cd /mnt
./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
